A Circle Journal entry

This is a layout I did for a circle journal - the CJ theme is 'I Love Disney' and this CJ is all about High School Musical (which I have to admit I just LOVE!!!). For the layout I used some of the Dovecraft Retro Paper Pack. I used one of the papers for the background and cut out and layered some flowers on foam pads to create embellishments. There are loads of lovely papers in these packs! Thanks for looking.

Birthday card

A quick and easy card, using these great value Dovecraft 'Retro' papers. To make the flower, I cut 3 flower images from one of the sheets of paper and layered them up. I finished the card off with a stamped greeting mounted with 3d foam and a co-ordinating Dovecraft brad. Hope you like it :).

Maya Rd Mini book

I made this little photo display from a Maya Road accordian book. This is a real bargain bit of home decor as the book is only £2.75 and all I needed to complete it were a few stickers and some paper from my scraps box. This is a really versatile little book - would be great as a mini album and also to hang vertically if you punched some holes in the top and threaded with ribbon.

New High Hope Stamps now in stock

This card has been made using some of the new High Hope Stamps that are now in stock. Stamps used for this card: Mary J Teacher Angel, School background and Teachers Desk. I stamped the School background multiple times on the background paper. These stamps would be fab for those end of term cards for your children's teachers. Don't forget to check out all the other fantastic stamps in this range.

Scrapbook Page - Bubble Fun

This is the first Scrapbook page I have ever made. The pictures are of my little girl Danni on her 3rd Birthday having lots of bubble fun in our garden. I have used Karen Foster April 12" x 12" Scrapbook paper. Check out this great range as we stock all the monthly papers. I have also used lots of co-ordinating Bazzill Bling for the lettering and to mount the pictures. The letters were cut on my Cricut using Mickey's Font cartridge. I then run them through my cuttlebug using the Spots and dots embossing folder to continue the bubble theme. I printed the text in word and mounted. The flower splats and fibres are from my kind friend Lim. Other accessories: Buttons from my stash & bubble sticks!

A "Cosmic" Layout!

Here is a double layout I made with this month's Design Team kit. Made with gorgeous Cherry Arte Cosmic Energy patterned papers and Bazzill cardstock. These are very versatile papers as they are double-sided - here I have used both sides of the 'Space View' paper on one LO. I've also incorporated the tickets from our visit and a souvenir embroidered patch I bought while we were there. As soon as I saw these I knew they were perfect for this LO of Kennedy Space Center; they would also be great colours for Disney pages too :). Hope it was worth the wait! See you soon, Katy xxx

Mix 'm up

Already told you how versatile the Laura Ashley paper range is, and in this card I wanted to show you that the Contemporary and Traditional range also combine soo great together :)

A girl can never have too many bags!

Thought I'd try something different today and no stamping involved! Covered these chipboard bags in beautiful Laura Ashley paper. I used my cuttlebug "Birds and Swirls" on the Tapioca bazzill. The sentiment was printed on my computer. Hope you like it!

Laura Ashley also Masculine?

Told you the Laura Ashley range is very versatile.. *Ü*
Here I've used the papers and sticky ribbon on a thank you card for a man
The LA range can be found here
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

High Hopes Baby Collage

The stamp used today is High Hopes "Baby Collage". This stamp could be used for a variety of projects and would also be great for a Scrapbook page or even to make baby announcement cards. It would be perfect for twins also as there is a space for two pictures. The sentiment sections are left blank so you can add your own wording. I printed mine on my computer. Coloured with my Primsacolour pencils using sansador and paper stumps to blend. The paper is by Basic Grey and is called "Oh Baby Girl" Karina. I also used Bazzill bling in colours Envy and In the Pink. The brads are MM Shimmer - Polo. The ribbons from my own stash. The little cutie is my daughter Danni when she was one. She is now 3 but still going through her terrible twos!

Laura Ashley Card

This card is made using the new gorgeous Laura Ashley papers. The Brad is also part of a set by Laura Ashley. The range can be found here and i'm sure you will agree that the paper packs are excellent value.

I also used twinkling H2o's which are just so beautiful. You can see from the angle that I have taken from the photo below that the added sparkle adds that little extra.

High Hope Baby Rubber Stamps

Baby Boy
The baby's Blanket and the Teddy Bears Bow was coloured with Twinkling H2O's. I applied the paint with my Watercolour Pen. This is the first time I have used the H2O's and love them! They are so smooth to apply and the picture does not do the twinkle justice! I will certainly be buying more of these!

Accessories: Doodlebug abc's - Swimming pool, Doodlebug Blue Jean/Swimming Pool Gingham ribbon, MM Shimmer Brads - Polo. Twinkling H2O's Pack No. 654.

All products used on this card can be found in the Craft Store with the exception of Basic Grey Gypsy papers which are my own. Silly Monkey's do stock a great range of other Basic Grey papers.

Hi All *Ü*

Ooooh.. I'm sooo excited.. thanks a million Bryony!!

Congrats also to Katy and Nikki *Ü*so looking forward to working together!!

I have been crafting for a long time but got into scrapping and cardmaking around 2 years ago and not looked back since.
My style can change from day to day.. just depends on my mood at that time but do like the cutesey look with an 'edge' lol

Hugs, Marlene x

Nice to meet you

Hi Everyone, I would just like to start by thanking Bryony for picking me as one of the 3 DT’s. You cannot believe what this means to me as I only started making cards in December. Congratulations to my new team members Marlene and Katy also. I can’t wait to get to know you both. I have visited your blogs and your work is so inspirational.

I have two daughters aged 2 & 8 so most of my crafting is done in the evening’s when they are in bed. I love vibrant colours and you will find out if you visit my blog.

Pop back again soon.

Hello!

Hi everyone
I am soooooooo delighted to be on the DT!

I've been crafting for about 2 years now, I mostly scrapbook but I also make the odd card. I think it's safe to say I am obsessed with scrapping and I seem to spend most of my life in my attic craft room.

Can't wait to start on my creations -I'll be back again soon!

Our new Design Team

I am pleased to announce the 3 lovely ladies who will make up the Silly Monkey Crafts Design Team. They are:

Katy Fox, Marlene Ashby and Nikki Fairbairn

I can't wait to see what they come up with for us but you can always pop for a sneaky look on their blogs to get an idea of their styles if you can't wait. Nikki's blog is here, Katy's blog is here and Marlene's is here.

Thank you to all the applicants - the standard was very high and it was tough making the decision.
