I love the boldness of the card and am amazed by Nikki's eye for craft goodies, the cute little button was salvaged from a pair of jeans her daughter grew out of.



I am so lucky that I get to spend my days surrounded by stash but i think the best bit of my job is seeing so much amazing work from my DT ladies, Marlene and Nikki - they are amazing and i wish i could do what they do. The only downside is that our previously three-strong design team is down to 2!

My Spoon Full of Sugar entry!

I have to guiltily admit that I haven't made a card in the last 18 months and have never entered a challenge before so I thought I would enter this week's spoonful challenge.

I am very nervous about revealing my card-making so please be gentle with me!

I just don't get time to do any crafting myself nowadays so i am very rusty but getting to see so much of Nikki and Marlene's work is very inspiring.

Anyway, moving on to something I am less embarrassed of, our CC design stamps have been dispatched so should be with us fairly soon - I will let you know when I know more!

Who knew that spooky halloween goodies could be so cute?

I have been itching to tell you about these gorgeous new stamps but have had to hold off any previews until today but at last i can share these yummy images with you

These adorable creations are by CC Designs will be on their way to us from the US and we hope to have them with us very soon. We won't be able to put these on preorder so make sure you keep an eye (or two!) on the blog as we will keep you updated on their progress here.

We have lots of other gorgeous stamps coming from CC but have just fallen in love with these rather confusing new releases. Are they cute? Are they spooky? Are they adorable? Are they scary? If you met one of these guys in a dark alleyway, would you run screaming or want to stroke them? I can't decide but would love to know your verdict on them

We have been 'in the zone' in the last day or two and have got lots of new goodies on the website.

First up we have just uploaded some lovely Jolly Nation stamps here.

Huge thanks to Katy

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Katy for all her hard (and lovely!) work on the Silly Monkey Crafts design team.
Katy has had to leave us as she is very busy with her new job as editor of Craft Stamper magazine. I am gutted to see her go but very pleased for her that everything is going so brilliantly in her new job (for those of you who haven't seen Craft Stamper lately, it has had a huge makeover and is totally inspiring).
She is a very talented lady and her spot will be very hard to fill.

High Hopes Circus Friends

I made this card today using Max and Sammy from High Hopes new release. These fun stamps are just perfect for boy cards, party invitations and gift bags. I also added a little sparkle using stickles and the main base of my card was made using bazzill card stock.

High Hopes Juggles

Isn't this character so much fun. This is "Juggles" and he if from the new releases from High Hopes which we have in the store. These stamps are just so perfect for children's cards and party makes. Don't you just love his cute little buttons on his braces which are Making Memories Button brads.
