We have been very busy this week with the run up to Christmas and some of the festive spirit seems to have rubbed off on me too. I have made my mum an advent calendar which I can refill for her each year with different goodies and treats!

I used the fab template on Bubblyfunk by Tracie Hudson (check out Tracie's blog here) - if you haven't already seen the tutorial, then check it out here. Huge thanks to caroline for letting me show my advent calendar off!

For every Magnolia Pink stamp purchased approx. 41p will go directly to Breast Cancer Awareness (donated directly by Magnolia).

No Peeking, Poking or Shaking!

I have made a gift box using my Scor-Pal. Wow, these are just so easy to make and I will certainly be making more of these. You can find the instructions here.

I have used High Hopes Three Pane Santa and Sentiment Peeking, Poking, Shaking. For my gift tag I stamped my image and sentiment on Concord Record card. I have been using this card now for months and it is just perfect for using with my Prisma's as it is so smooth it blends effortlessly. It is also perfect for use with ProMarkers and Copics Markers. At such a great price you can even cope with a few stamping boo boo's! My Santa Panes were coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and I used Sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I then finished of with lots of stickles for added sparkle!

Have a great Sunday!

Which card is best to stamp on?

Some of the questions we get asked most by customers are - which card is best to stamp on and which card works best for colouring on?

For us, the best card is plain and simple record cards by Concord - they are cheap and a brilliant size but at a great affordable price.

To make life easier for us and you we now stock them in the shop here. We wish we could source them a little cheaper and will keep trying to get the price down further if we can (we don't order enough office supplies to qualify for wholesale reductions!). However, if you are spending over £15 you will qualify for free postage so it does work out quite economically in the end.

Fran made us chuckle our socks off with her very interesting Tilda and Edwin card. We saw Tilda in a way we have never seen her before! If you want more details you'l have to go and nag Fran. (We have got the pink ribbon Magnolia stamps ordered and I know I'll be having flashbacks to Fran's card when they arrive!)

More characters from the High Hopes new release

You may want to click on the picture for a closer view.

I've been having lots of fun with my new High Hopes stamps. As you can see I have dressed up Albert for Halloween with his witches hat and broomstick. His hat was cut on my Cricut Expression. I've used a mixture of mediums for this card and have used my Prismacolor pencils on Albert and copic sketch pens on Frog Prince. These stamps are just so versatile and I have removed my Frog Princes crown for this spooky scene. I stamped Albert's hand again so I could pop his broomstick underneath to look like he is holding it. I love these K&Company papers and have added a little bat and pumpkin brad to complete the scene.
